why

Mozambique?

Mozambique is fast becoming one of the world’s most luxurious beach destinations. You’ve got the beachy, relaxed feel of Portugal, the hustle and bustle of India and the amazing landscapes of Africa, all in the one itinerary so it is becoming a firm favourite for those who like to be above and below the water!. In fact, the area was once run by the Portuguese, and their trendy cosmopolitan influence has never left. Think unspoilt beaches, hidden islands, swaying savannah and ghostly baobab forests.

Bazaruto is one of the most popular destinations and is not only known for windsurfing and scuba diving but you can also witness dozens of bird species as well as an abundance of turtles, dolphins and even the Nile crocodile, all from the traditional Dhow.

The Quirimbas National Park is the up and coming spot to visit, especially for its varied bird species, beaches and islands.

Mozambique people are happy to welcome you to their country and with the African/Portuguese flavour you will find a surprise around every corner and won’t be able to resist this vibrant country full of fun.

Beaches

Mozambique is divided into two topographical regions by the Zambezi River, to the North the narrow coastline moves inland to hills and plateaus, and further west to highlands. South of the Zambezi the lowlands are broader with huge plateaus.

The main areas of attraction are islands off the coast, surrounded by crystal clear azure waters, in the Bazaruto Archipelago (Southern Mozambique), and the Quirimbas Archipelago (Northern Mozambique) – here you will stay in a boutique beach lodges on remote beaches.

Diving

Mozambique is also home to some of Africa’s most famous dive sites, and the snorkeling is also incredible. This truly is the land of diversity, and is made up currently of sparsely spread luxury lodges, no crowds, no big hotels, just small luxury boutique lodges.
